Vistahunt.com is a good resource on Windows Vista. I just did some experimentation with my Vista PC and would like to share Vista Game Performance Tips. These vista gaming performance tweaks will help other site visitors.

Vista requires lot of memory and uses major resources of your PC. To get best out of Vista, first free your memory. You can add more RAM.

Use proper directX version. Most of the games specify the required version. Use proper version and avoid compatibility problems.

Use higher USB stick. Now the 8GB & 16GB USB disks are getting quite cheap. Go for that.

Update your Vista regularly. You have to use latest driver which is generally available at the vendor's website. This will solve compatibility issues and increase the game performance.
