MAC OSX and compare it to Windows Vista, it will definitely
create fire, friction among these two newly released

Which is better Mac OSX
or Windows Vista?
Today, there are high boiling arguments between the
computer world’s two horses, Macintosh and PC.
Supporters of Macintosh claim that, Windows Vista is
the copy cat of MAC OSX. The supporters of PC however,
deny this, and say Vista is an improvement over the
old Windows operating system. Now, we will start our
long journey towards knowing how supporters of both
horses, PC and MAC justify that their operating system
is the best among the two.
Vista – old to gold
The Windows Vista logon screen, which appears immediately
after system boot up process, appears pleasant to users.
The interface makes use of a smooth, blue pleasant looking
theme. The menu bars of each window are semi-transparent
in nature, giving distorted special showing through
effects to the background. This is an unnecessary stuff
added to operating system, but, is some what attractive.
Windows Vista is advanced version of Windows XP, but
yet lies in the same line of Windows XP for some stuffs.
One may be able to discover that, the famous oldie,
the “Device Manager” has not been shunted
out of Windows Vista. Any users, who still make use
of it to deal with old device drivers for reviving the
old devices, should note this.

Windows Vista has a great deal of security measures

than Windows XP”. The tightened security measure

done in the system. This means that, Vista enables users

Widgets or gadgets
When it comes to the point of MAC OS, many may ask
a question, how is Vista similar to MAC OS? Both do
not become similar in functioning, but may be similar
in terms of presentation. On one hand, MAC users have
enjoyed the one-click activated dashboard appearing
on the MAC desktop, which shows mini applications such
as clock, puzzle, weather report etc, called Gadgets”
in MAC. In response to this, Vista has introduced “Widgets”.

The major difference between the two is that, the faces
of Gadgets are built to let the user to drag. The Vista
widgets have got floating close and drag tabs. It will
create some trouble for users especially the one with
higher screen resolutions.
Integrated search engine
There are many controversies behind the integrated
search engine of Vista. The search engine processes
and yields the results in the same fashion as with MAC
OS. But, Microsoft has put additional effort in making
search a better tool in its Vista. There is a special
effect to the searching process, which starts searching
upon typing itself and refines the search as the words
are completed. However, there is one major problem in
Vista search. Typing “Plymouth” in to the
search box yields randomly selected around 200 documents
which are not relevant to the search condition specified.
Rolodex view
Click on “Switch between Windows” button
on the task bar. All the open Windows will be moved
into a nice special view called “Rolodex”
view. One can view open windows by using scroll wheel
on the mouse. This has got a fine effect with regards
to switching between the many windows fairly quick.
Overall, Windows Vista offers its users, an eye pleasing
view with great looks. However, from the look out design
point of view, the product is based on influence of
MAC OS. However, Vista is much easier to use and handle
and is less troublesome. You feel better and confident
while using the computer with windows vista installed
in it, after some time from the day one of its use.
One can also try out MAC OS along with Windows Vista
installed.
Anti-piracy programs
As said above, Windows Vista has great potential to
overtake MAC in the number of features while compared
with MAC OS. Vista is slowly becoming popular, because
it makes best use of the popularity gained by previous
versions of Windows. However, because it introduced
Anti-piracy programs, it is started to loose some of
the customers due to its high price structure. People
